El amigo de mi padre

Story

Hoy estoy en casa. Hace mucho tiempo que no veo a Marco. Marco es un amigo de mi padre. Es un amigo muy bueno. Es como otro padre en mi casa.

Today I am at home. It has been a long time since I have seen Marco. Marco is a friend of my father. He is a very good friend. He is like another father in my house.

Ahora oigo a Marco. Me habla. Me dice hola. Me dice que quiere verme hoy. Quiere hablar con mi padre y con mi madre. Quiere ver a la gente de casa.

Now I hear Marco. He speaks to me. He says hello. He tells me that he wants to see me today. He wants to speak with my father and my mother. He wants to see the family at home.

No nos vemos hace tiempo. Le digo que sí. Le digo que es una gran cosa. Mi padre va a estar muy bien. Mi madre también.

We have not seen each other for a long time. I tell him yes. I tell him it is a great thing. My father will be very happy. My mother too.

Después hablo con mi madre. Le digo: "Hoy va a estar Marco aquí." Mi madre me mira. No dice nada. Luego dice: "¿Hoy? ¿Aquí?" Le digo que sí. Ella parece muy bien.

Then I speak with my mother. I tell her: "Marco is going to be here today." My mother looks at me. She says nothing. Then she says: "Today? Here?" I tell her yes. She seems very happy.
