Story

我wǒ总zǒng是shì去qù那nà个ge地dì方fāng。老lǎo王wáng在zài那nà里lǐ。他tā知zhī道dào我wǒ要yào的de是shì什shén么me。

I always go to that place. Lao Wang is there. He knows what I want.

老lǎo王wáng是shì我wǒ的de好hǎo朋péng友yǒu。他tā对duì我wǒ说shuō话huà不bù多duō，可kě是shì他tā记jì得de我wǒ点diǎn的de东dōng西xī。

Lao Wang is a good friend of mine. He doesn't say much to me, but he remembers what I order.

今jīn天tiān我wǒ去qù那nà里lǐ，老lǎo王wáng不bù在zài。一yí个gè新xīn的de女nǚ人rén在zài。她tā对duì我wǒ说shuō你nǐ好hǎo。她tā叫jiào小xiǎo美měi。

Today when I go, Lao Wang isn't there. A new woman is there. She says hello to me. Her name is Xiao Mei.

我wǒ对duì小xiǎo美měi说shuō：我wǒ要yào点diǎn和hé我wǒ以yǐ前qián要yào的de一yí样yàng的de东dōng西xī。她tā说shuō：好hǎo。

I say to Xiao Mei: I want to order the same thing I had before. She says: alright.

她tā去qù做zuò了liǎo。我wǒ坐zuò着zhe等děng了liǎo一yí下xià。

She goes off to make it. I sit and wait a little.

她tā回huí来lái，把bǎ东dōng西xī给gěi我wǒ。我wǒ看kàn了liǎo一yí下xià，觉jué得de不bù对duì。

She comes back and gives me the thing. I take a look and feel it's not right.

这zhè个ge不bú是shì我wǒ要yào的de东dōng西xī。我wǒ对duì她tā说shuō：这zhè个ge不bú是shì我wǒ点diǎn的de。

This isn't what I wanted. I say to her: this isn't what I ordered.

小xiǎo美měi有yǒu点diǎn不bù明míng白bái。她tā问wèn我wǒ：你nǐ点diǎn的de是shì什shén么me呢ne？

Xiao Mei doesn't quite understand. She asks me: what did you order?

我wǒ说shuō：你nǐ不bù知zhī道dào也yě没méi事shì。是shì我wǒ没méi说shuō清qīng楚chǔ。

I say: it's fine that you don't know. I was the one who didn't say it clearly.

我wǒ告gào诉sù她tā我wǒ以yǐ前qián点diǎn的de是shì什shén么me。她tā听tīng了liǎo，明míng白bái了liǎo。

I tell her what I used to order. She listens and understands.

她tā说shuō：抱bào歉qiàn，是shì我wǒ的de问wèn题tí。我wǒ马mǎ上shàng给gěi你nǐ做zuò新xīn的de。

She says: sorry, it's my mistake. I'll make a new one for you right away.

我wǒ说shuō：没méi事shì。她tā拿ná那nà个ge东dōng西xī，又yòu去qù做zuò。

I say: it's nothing. She takes that thing, and goes to make it again.

我wǒ又yòu等děng了liǎo一yí下xià。她tā回huí来lái，把bǎ新xīn的de给gěi我wǒ。这zhè一yí次cì对duì了liǎo。

I wait a little more. She comes back and gives me the new one. This time it's right.

她tā说shuō：真zhēn的de对duì不bù起qǐ。今jīn天tiān我wǒ才cái开kāi始shǐ，我wǒ还hái不bù知zhī道dào。

She says: I'm really sorry. I only started today, I still don't know.

我wǒ说shuō：没méi事shì。明míng天tiān我wǒ可kě以yǐ告gào诉sù你nǐ我wǒ要yào的de东dōng西xī。

I say: it's nothing. Tomorrow I can tell you what I want.

她tā很hěn高gāo兴xìng。她tā说shuō：好hǎo，我wǒ明míng天tiān会huì记jì得de。

She is very happy. She says: alright, tomorrow I'll remember.

我wǒ喝hē了liǎo。和hé老lǎo王wáng做zuò的de一yí样yàng。我wǒ对duì小xiǎo美měi说shuō：和hé以yǐ前qián一yí样yàng。

I drink. The same as what Lao Wang makes. I say to Xiao Mei: same as before.

她tā又yòu对duì我wǒ说shuō谢xiè谢xiè。这zhè个ge地dì方fāng还hái是shì好hǎo的de。明míng天tiān我wǒ还hái会huì来lái。

She says thank you to me again. This place is still good. Tomorrow I'll come back.
