Colere est un nom feminin designant l'emotion de la rage ou de la fureur. Etre en colere (to be angry) est la construction la plus courante. Piquer une colere ou faire une colere (to throw a tantrum, to fly into a rage) s'emploie surtout pour les enfants mais aussi les adultes.

Colere froide (cold fury) est plus dangereuse que la colere explosive selon le sens commun. Passer sa colere sur (to take one's anger out on) designe un deplacement de la frustration. Colerer n'existe pas ; le verbe correspondant est se mettre en colere (to get angry).
